Having completed my training in 2005, I have a wide variety of experience in many settings including the following:
Delivering Individual, Sibling and Group therapy with Primary and Secondary aged school children, Young People and Adults
Working with clients addressing: bereavement, low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties, those who are making the transition to a new school, young carers, those who have experienced abuse, school phobia, anxiety, depression, identity issues, life limiting illness, self harm, struggling to cope with difficult emotions, having someone close to them with a serious illness, special educational needs including those on the autistic spectrum
Delivering a therapeutic group programme for bereaved families, including those with complex needs
Facilitating increased communication in families and therapeutic work, through the transition of somebody close dying
Delivering individual therapy to survivors of sexual abuse and assault, including throughout the court process
Supporting professionals in their role, as they support children and young people, at school or in the community, as well as vulnerable adults or those with mental health difficulties
Supporting and advising School Staff, Parents, Carers and Guardians
Working within and for a variety of organisations and settings including Schools, Pupil Referral Units, Hospital Wards, Out Patients, CAMHS and Charities
Managing and coordinating teams of support workers and volunteers
